Combined CDF and DØ Upper Limits on High-Mass Standard Model Higgs Boson Production

March 7, 2011

L=7.1 fb-1 (CDF) and up to 8.2 fb-1 (DØ)
(95% C.L. exclusion for SM Higgs with mass mH between 158 and 173 GeV/c2)

Conference Note: arXiv:1103.3233 [hep-ex]

This result is a combination of CDF and DØ's searches for a high-mass Higgs boson. The decay modes to which the analyses have been optimized are W+W-, ZZ, γγ, and τ+τ-. The dominant production mode is gg→H, but we also include WH, ZH, and Vector-Boson Fusion (VBF). Some of the channels which are combined are specifically targeted at the WH, ZH, and VBF modes, such as the H+2 jet, trilepton, and like-sign dilepton channels.
